ARTIST BIO
In the historic, picturesque town of Meeteetse, Wyoming, photographer Tracie Fernandez has made her mark by capturing the rugged beauty and serene moments of the American West. Tracie’s journey began in 1987 when she joined her husband John on his family’s ranch, surrounded by the boundless charm of the Absaroka Mountains, the High Desert’s sagebrush steppe, the fascinating Badlands, and Yellowstone National Park right next door.
With an explorer’s spirit, Tracie draws endless inspiration in the diverse landscapes of Wyoming. In 2011, her passion for storytelling led her to write a weekly column, Meeteetse Cowboy Corner, in the Cody Enterprise. This endeavor ignited her profound interest in photography, fueling her desire to share the stunning visual beauty and peaceful solitude of her surroundings.
Tracie’s work resonates with deep emotional undertones, capturing images that speak to her heart. Through her lens, she captures the intimate and profound beauty of nature, aiming to touch her audience’s hearts as deeply as the land touches hers.
