The Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale kicked off on Friday night, drawing more than 625 registered attendees to the large white party tent, creating a truly magical atmosphere. CALECO FOUNDRY FIRE Dear Friends and Fellow Art Lovers,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the devastating fire that struck Caleco Foundry in Cody, Wyoming, during the early hours of May 29, 2024.
The flames consumed several of Vic’s monumental and masterwork molds, including those belonging to esteemed artists Dustin Payne, Chris Navarro, and Michael D. Thomas. These molds are more than mere objects; they encapsulate the artists’ visions, their unwavering passion, and often decades of painstaking effort.

My kids and I spent a wonderful weekend with Vic and Angie Payne and their family. Vic is a 2nd generation sculptor and world renowned artist. We are so honored to have his extraordinary talent on the sculpture of Chris planned for a beautiful setting in Odessa, Texas outside of a veteran’s hospital. The goal is for the setting to be a healing peaceful place for veterans and their families receiving care at the medical center and for those citizens who want to stop by and take a moment thinking of Chris and all those who serve.
